Along with a dozen or so other poets, we were invited to contribute 2-5 Sugar Frosted Koans in McManis&#8217; invented form of three stanzas with a repeating introductory line: \u201cIn Heaven\u2026\u201d with a volta or some twist or turn (I had Laurel Near&#8217;s very strange song from <em>Eraserhead<\/em> stuck in my head the whole time I worked on this project). \u00a0The book is now out on Amazon here and I&#8217;m pleased to be a part of it (I believe I&#8217;m the &#8220;Maggie Pops&#8221; on the cover):\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com.au\/dp\/B0H9VJ25Q7\/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&amp;dib_tag=se&amp;dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.XfhtbDoV83KHzS_4hOSicw.Pmr5S-R5VacO7b2F_y5C6Wh_K7_6wwPk0U98WSWptz8&amp;qid=1784693932&amp;sr=8-1\">Sugar Frosted Koans<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My fellow writer and interviewer extraordinaire Ed McManis invited me to participate in his fun project Sugar Frosted Koans.
