I’m very excited to have a new poem “Weed Garden” published in Issue 4 of Not Very Quiet. This issue, which explored ‘the performance of our gender’ was edited by Sandra Renew and Moya Pacey, guest edited by K A Nelson and produced by Tikka Wilson. The quality of the poetry in this issue (and in Not Very Quiet in general) is superb. You can check it out here: https://not-very-quiet.com/issue-4-march-2019/?fbclid=IwAR25t1L-vd202imT9UHZNbc9olkBYojWY335Ov6q6RlQ3oDw-TsFze3lhMk

On the 4th of November, I was one of 20 poets invited to read at Manly Art Gallery. All of the poems responded to images from The Natural Collection, an exhibition of prints showing at the Manly Art Gallery from 19 October 2018 – 17 March 2019. My poem titled “orchid inventory” responded to Rebecca Baird’s Bauer’s ‘Midge Orchid’, pictured left. My piece was also selected to be one of 3 poets from the reading published at Verity La. You can read the poem, along with gorgeous poems written by Judy Johnson and Justine Poon here: https://verityla.com/2018/11/16/the-spirit-of-nature-2018-manly-art-gallery-poetry-alive-reading/ The full suite of poems performed can be found at this month’s Australian Poetry Collective, issue #29: http://meusepress.tripod.com/apc.htm
A new(ish) poem of mine, “Carbon Black”, was featured in The Canberra Times’ Panorama arts section this weekend (November 10, 2018). Editor Lizz Murphy was kind enough to send me a copy. Lizz does a brilliant editing job and I’ve always admired the poems she has selected, so pleased she picked one of mine this weekend.
I’m delighted that a poem of mine has been published in a new anthology To End All Wars, published by Puncher & Wattmann and edited by Dael Allison, Anna Couani, Kit Kelen, and Les Wicks. The book explores the centenary of Armistice, and will be launched 3pm Saturday 27 October at The Shop Gallery, 112 Glebe Point Road, Glebe NSW. An Earshot programme based on the anthology will air on Radio National Mon 5th November 11am on Radio National, repeated Sat 10th November 1.30pm.
A collaboration titled “Decisiveness & Pleasure” which I did with Annelyse Gelman for the Digital Writers Festival 2017 has been chosen as a Curator’s Choice and Showcase Feature in the Rabbit Heart Poetry Film Festival. The film features vocals from Jason Grier, words by Annelyse and visuals from me (including a few in-person cameos). Very excited that this piece will be getting another outing.
